I don't know
It's been a busy January so far. Regular mundane stuff for the most part. I've been reading a bit Working on a book by Paul Krugman, "The Conscience of a Liberal". Just got into it, good so far. I've listened to Krugman on the radio a few times and he seems like a bright guy.
I'm going up to Boone on Saturday night for a performance by some Chinese acrobats.

It's something a bit different and I am looking forward to it. Went by the Y today and took a look around. It might be nice to finally learn how to swim.
Anyway, I think I am looking at a slow change in my life and I think it started last year about this time. I was just tired of the same old thing. Wanting something new, something with some meaning. Maybe it's just me getting old. That, I think, is a strong possibility.
Well, it is late now and I need to get some sleep. Having an unsettled night.

Bad Weather
Yeah, I'm home. It's been a bad weather day. A little snow making everything wet and falling temps freezing it all. Lovely. I'm staying in tonight. Just finished doing the dishes. Going to kick back, eat some soup and either watch "300" (a movie I've been wanting to see) or just read a bit. Right now the election results are going on the tube. I just cant seem to get interested in it this evening.

Getting Ready to Head Out...
...for bunch. Sunday morning and I look forward to sitting down with the sunday paper and having some brunch. I like to go as early as possible in order to avoid the "church crowd". Thinking of heading over to the Village Tavern today. Looks to be a good day.

It was an Odd Thing...
I was wrong. Hillary won New Hampshire. I will not vote for Hillary in the primaries. I just don't trust her. Way too much DNC there for my tastes.
Funny how the polls all got the Republican numbers just about right and, except for Obama & Hillary's, they got the Dem's numbers about right as well. Now, I have no evidence, but arent they using the voting machines that are easly hacked up there in NH? Ya know, I'd love to see the raw exit polling and check out the numbers there.

Election 08
Looks like Obama is going to take New Hampshire. He seems like an ok choice, but I would prefer Edwards or Kucinich. There really does need to be a radicial change in the way America is headed. The time is NOW. A social revolution needs to begin. The half steps just are not getting it. Take Health Care. Obama wants to work with te Insurance companies and Health Care industry. No, they've had thier chance. Time for a single payer system. Medicare for everyone. This should be the solution and should be a priority the first year in the new administration.

First Cold
Yeah, I have a cold, so I'm staying in today. I hate getting sick when it's supposed to be so nice outside. I did go out to have brunch this morning at Village Tavern with a friend, but I think that'll be it for me today. Just going to take it easy, read and stay in.

So Here We Are
It's a new year, new month and I have a cold....blech. Anyway, I did stay up a bit to watch the results of the Iowa thingy. The Big Story, in my opinion, was the turn out. WOW! Double of 2004 for the Dems. I am hoping the mommentum can keep up till November. Democratic landslide, anyone?
Personally, I'd prefer Kucinich or Dodd as the Dem candidate in 08, but it looks to be one of the Big Three. I really don't trust Hillary. Too attached to the DNC. We don't need a corporatist in the White House, there is one there already. We need REAL change. Obama or Edwards...really, I'm undecided. I think it's a toss up.
The Repubicans? Ha! NO choice there. I once really resected McCain, but after all the butt kissing he did to the Christian Right...well, he's a lost cause to me.
