Yeah, they are almost here. Very gloomy outside here today and it reminds me that it is fall. Next month Halloween will be here. I really have no plans this year for it. Last year I was with someone and we had a nice party with a few people, but I won't be doing that this year.
I think it's maybe the lack of sunlight, ya know? I just find the Holidays a little depressing. I really do t to be "up" for them and I DO like Halloween, but....like I said, maybe it's just today, being gloomy and thinking about it TODAY. Oh well, dwelling on it isn't the answer.
Personal writings of thoughts, opinions and things I come across while blundering through my life.

Bill...I do Miss You...
On the US budget, Clinton warned that the federal deficit may be coming untenable,
driven by foreign wars, the post-hurricane recovery programme and tax cuts that
benefitted just the richest one percent of the US population, himself included.
"What Americans need to understand is that ... every single day of the year, our government goes into the market and borrows money from other countries to finance Iraq,
Afghanistan, Katrina, and our tax cuts," he said.
"We have never done this before. Never in the history of our republic have
we ever financed a conflict, military conflict, by borrowing money from somewhere else."
Clinton added: "We depend on Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Korea primarily to basically loan us money every day of the year to cover my tax cut and these conflicts and Katrina. I don't think it makes any sense."

It's time to stop the tax cuts for the rich, roll back the previous cuts and
become fiscally responsible.

Media DOES Matter...
I've added a Media Matters box to the right and below. Let me know what you think and if it is working, ok? They do a great job calling the media out on the crap and bias they spew. Go check out the website when you have a few.

Almost back to Work...
Well, looks like my little vacation is almost over. It's nice to have some time to relax and not do much of anything. Getting ready to head out and get some lunch. I have a BANGER of a headache today (too much wine last night. Too much for me is like 1 and a half glasses...). Before I go here is a link to a "New Rule" for you-

Now it's Let's Blame the People....
Michael Brown also agreed with other public officials that the death toll in the city could reach into the thousands.
"Unfortunately, that's going to be attributable a lot to people who did not heed the advance warnings," Brown told CNN.
"I don't make judgments about why people chose not to leave but, you know, there was a mandatory evacuation of New Orleans," he said.
"And to find people still there is just heart-wrenching to me because, you know, the mayor did everything he could to get them out of there.
"So, we've got to figure out some way to convince people that whenever warnings go out it's for their own good," Brown said. "Now, I don't want to second guess why they did that. My job now is to get relief to them."
Maybe it was because they COULD NOT get out? Did you see the elderly DEAD woman in her wheelchair? Think she had the means to leave? Most of these people left in NO aree the poor or elderly. Looks like the Bush Administration has started the "Blame the People" spin....
