Athlon 64

Well...I went and did it. Bought an Athlon 64 chip, motherboard, 160meg harddrive and 512 worth of DDR memory. Now, I've got to put it all together. I got the hard drive early and tried it on my current pokey machine. It REALLY picked up speed when loading windows, for me anyway. Can't wait to get the thing put together.
Also, this Monday in Raleigh, NC They Might Be Giants are playing. I WILL be there. Already got the tickets and can't wait! I saw them a few years ago in Cincinnati and they are really fun to see. If you are in the area, go check them out.

Mondays.....

It's going to be an odd week for me at work. I'm off today and getting ready to go eat lunch at Saigon in Greensboro, NC (Big Fave...love the spring rolls). Trying to make up my mind wiether or not I need to buy a new computer. I have an old Athlon that I've been using for about 4 years. It's ok, but not so hot when it comes to gaming (yes, still playing City of Heroes). Been looking at a HP. It's an Athlon 64 with a gig of memory and a 250 meg HD. We'll see.

Which way is it...Zell?

This is taken from a speech Zell Miller made to introduce John Kerry at a dinner in 2001-

My job tonight is an easy one: to present to you one of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders – and a good friend. He was once a lieutenant governor – but he didn't stay in that office 16 years, like someone else I know. It just took two years before the people of Massachusetts moved him into the United States Senate in 1984.In his 16 years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington. Early in his Senate career in 1986, John signed on to the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Deficit Reduction Bill, and he fought for balanced budgets before it was considered politically correct for Democrats to do so.John has worked to strengthen our military, reform public education, boost the economy and protect the environment. Business Week magazine named him one of the top pro-technology legislators and made him a member of its "Digital Dozen."John was re-elected in 1990 and again in 1996 – when he defeated popular Republican Governor William Weld in the most closely watched Senate race in the country.

Why lies at the Republican Convention, Zell? It's public record that Kerry voted FOR many weapons programs that the Vice President opposed.
